Homegrown Book Launch Events

Barrie Quinn’s new book, Homegrown, launches on 10 September. The book tells the story behind Portnoo Market Garden, exploring food growing, sustainability, community and the people and experiences that shaped the journey.

Two launch events will take place in Dublin and Donegal, giving an opportunity to hear the stories behind the book, join the conversation and have copies signed by Barrie.

Dublin — Chapters Bookstore

Tuesday, 8 September at 6.30 p.m.
Parnell Street, Dublin

Barrie will be joined by writer Ali Dunworth for a conversation about Homegrown, its inspiration and the journey to publication. The event will include an audience Q&A, an opportunity to meet Barrie and a book signing.

Places are limited to 200 guests, and early booking is recommended.

Donegal — Nesbitt Arms Hotel

Thursday, 10 September at 7.00 p.m.
Ardara, Co. Donegal

The official launch-day celebration will feature a conversation with Barrie and Michéal Brennan, also known as @donegaldaddy. The evening will include an audience Q&A, live music and stories from the book.

Four Masters Bookstore will have copies of Homegrown available to purchase and Barrie will be signing books throughout the evening.

No ticket is required, and everyone is welcome.
